What's the difference between the Simplex 7100 Series 7102, 7104 and 7108 options.
The Simplex 7100 series offers a deadbolt and a dead latch option. The deadbolt has to be manually thrown and retracted and is available in a 2-3/8" backset option (7108) and a 2-3/4" backset option (7102). Picture illustrates the deadbolt latch.
The dead latch option automatically relocks it self when it closes. The dead latch option is the (7104) and is adjustable for either 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" backsets. The picture illustrates a dead latch.
